Yoga to the People

There will be no correct clothes
There will be no proper payment
There will be no right answers
No glorified teachers
No ego no script no pedestals
No you're not good enough or rich enough
This yoga is for everyone
This sweating and breathing and becoming
This knowing glowing feeling
Is for the big small weak and strong
Able and crazy
Brothers sisters grandmothers
The mighty and meek
Bones that creak
Those who seek
This power is for everyone
Yoga to the People
All bodies rise

This is the mantra for a yoga studio in New York City called Yoga to the People. I absolutely loved this mantra! Check out their website: http://www.yogatothepeople.com/index.html

Lululemon R and D Team

If you are not already - become a part of the Lululemon R and D Team. Simply fill out a QUICK application provided for you at your local Lululemon store (I think you have to show a studio schedule or pay stub to prove you teach), and provide product feedback either in store or online 3 times a year and you receive 15 percent OFF each time you make a purchase. NOW that is a pretty good real - in my opinion.

Reminder - send me your favorite studios by commenting on the last post. Thank you!

Favorite Studios

Since we live all over the globe, please comment on your favorite studio. I will then post a link to their website (if they don't have a website, I'll just post the name). A great way for us traveling yoginis to hit up a great class, no matter where we are.

Also, if you are an author - maybe add a little blurp about yourself, location, etc....maybe a photo - on your profile (so that we can meet up if traveling through your area and remember each others beautiful faces!)

Off the Mat, Into the World

If you haven't heard of this program, I highly recommend looking into it. I have recently (the last 6 weeks) been blessed to be a part of a great group where we work on figuring out our purposes - as a person, in life, and in the future (through sacred activism). It has been such a great experience for me and actually I will be very sad when it is over (next week is our last meeting).
Also I want to welcome the ladies from my current Off the Mat, Into the World group. I know we all have a lot of blessing to share with one another!

Thanks, Lauren!

Lauren, Thanks so much for setting this up for us! I'm sure we will have lots of fun keeping in touch.

My postnatal classes here in my home studio are going well. I have a Prenatal Class Series coming up in December and have a prenatal/postnatal class scheduled to begin the first Friday of December at a local studio. Having lots of fun with what I learned at our teacher training.

Talk soon.

OM, shanti. . . .peace,
Margie

Public or Private?

Do you feel that this blog should be public (can be read by anyone) or private (can only be read by those who are authors)? If it is private, we could continue to invite other women (not from the training) to expand the strength of this group. Your opinion matters, let me know you thoughts so that we can adjust the settings properly.

WELCOME!

Good Afternoon Ladies ~

After the recent pre/post natal training with Shiva Rea, I realized how important supporting and having support from fellow yoginis and women has been in my life. So, I have created this place for us all to keep in touch. I have added all of you to the author list so it should allow you to post, etc. If you'd rather not be involved, please let me know and I will remove your name.

So, aside from the formal administative comments - I welcome you. Please feel free to post or comment (with good taste) on anything and everything from your life - questions, weddings, pregnancies, birthdays, special occasions, workshops, and anything else that you want to share with this beautiful group of women.
